About Jennifer
Intersecting Passion and Experience
My name is Jennifer and I’m an international surrogacy advocate and speaker, mother of two, wife, fertility doula and a two-time gestational surrogate. Intersecting my expertise and experience in family therapy with surrogacy my vision is to help you navigate your journey through compassionate coaching and an online community of comprehensive and credible resources.
Where it all began
Following my passion for empowering and helping others, I pursued my Master of Education, Counselling Psychology from the University of Western which began my career as a therapist where I worked to support youth and families through various mental health issues.
Following a decade of service, I chose to work independently as a Life Coach. It was during this time, that I pursued my dream of helping another family become parents. I always knew that I would be a surrogate for someone else. I always figured there would be someone in my life that might need it, but after many years, no one seemed to pop up. So I decided to pursue becoming a surrogate for complete strangers!
After many, many months of research, I choose an agency and a wonderful set of intended parents and my journey with surrogacy began.
My strong empathy for others combined with having experienced first-hand how overwhelming and confusing the world of Surrogacy can be is what essentially drove me to establish Supporting Surrogacy. I’ve worked hard to simplify the experience as much as possible by creating an online community to connect those within the larger surrogacy community — surrogates, intended parents, and their support systems – to comprehensive and credible resources. I now concentrate my time coaching intended parents and surrogates through their journey. Knowing that someone felt supported and didn’t feel alone means everything to me.
Each day I approach my work with immense gratitude for the opportunities that I have, for my family and knowing that my work is helping others – like you – bring a new life into the world and experience the true joy that comes from family.
